“Falling Leaves” — Letting Go and Trusting God

Have you ever watched the leaves fall in autumn? One by one, they drift gently to the ground. It’s peaceful, but it’s also a powerful picture of change. The trees let go of their leaves—not because they’re dying, but because they’re getting ready for something new.

In the same way, there are times when God asks us to let go of certain things—our worries, our plans, or even habits and attitudes that keep us from growing closer to Him. Letting go can be hard, but it’s part of how God prepares us for new life. Just as trees must release their leaves to grow fresh ones in spring, we must surrender what holds us back so God can bring renewal and strength.

Falling leaves remind us that change isn’t the end—it’s often the beginning of something beautiful. When we trust God with what we release, He promises to bring new growth in His perfect time.

Key Verse

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” —Proverbs 3:5–6

Lord, thank You for the reminder that just like the trees let go of their leaves, I can trust You with the things I need to release. Help me to let go of my worries, fears, and sins, and to trust You to bring new life and purpose in Your time. Amen.
